A permanent Museum exhibit has been located in the Ploča and Širokac towers. In the Ploča tower the life of Alija Izetbegović as a politician and statesman is shown in a chronological order through texts and photographs. In the Širokac Tower, the Musem exhibit is dedicated to Alija Izetbegović as a supreme commander as well as to organising the defence against aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Founded in modern times, the “Alija Izetbegović” Museum answers the questions asked in the past in a modern way and also lays the foundation for the future. With its objective and scientific approach, the Museum encourages young intellectuals and scientists to start the writing of history in a professional manner.

The education programs in the Museum are aimed for primary and secondary school students and include expert general and thematic guides of the permanent exhibits as well as interactive school workshops, publishing pedagogical and educational publications, lectures, programs to mark significant historical dates, and many other activities.
